Thomaz Bellucci and Guillermo Garcia-Lopez cruised through their opening matches at the Argentina Open on Monday.

Bellucci, a qualifier at the ATP 250 event in Buenos Aires, needed less than an hour to power past local wildcard Pedro Cachin 6-2 6-1 in the first round.

Garcia-Lopez also had few problems, brushing past Carlos Berlocq 6-3 6-3 to make it three wins in as many meetings with the Argentinian.

The wildcards failed to capitalise, with Nicolas Kicker joining Cachin and Berlocq in making an early exit, beaten 2-6 6-4 6-4 by Guido Pella.

Federico Delbonis overcame Florian Mayer 7-6 (7-4) 6-4 and Dusan Lajovic beat Facundo Bagnis 7-6 (7-4) 6-1 in the day's other matches.
