It was a successful second day at the 2019 SEA Games for the Malaysian gymnastics team as they picked up five medals at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum in Manila on Tuesday.

Joining her on the podium was national compatriot Rachel Yeoh Li Wen, who took home bronze despite finishing with the same amount of points with silver medallist Do Thi Ngoc Huong of Vietnam.

Farah Ann missed out a medal in the women's vault event, finishing fourth, but Tan Ing Yueh ensured Malaysia were represented with her silver medal finish.

Malaysian male gymnasts did not lose out to their women's counterparts as Tan Fu Jie dislodged home's favourite Carlos Yulo for pommel horse gold, while Zul Bahrin Mat Asri clinched bronze in floor exercise.

Jeremiah Loo Phay Xing almost joined Tan on the podium, finishing just 0.267 point behind bronze medal winner Dinh Phuong Thanh.
