New Zealand Warriors expect Issac Luke to miss at least four weeks after sustaining a knee injury during their NRL clash with Melbourne Storm last week.

The hooker limped out of the 50-10 defeat at AMI Park after just 16 minutes, capping a truly miserable trip across the Tasman Sea for the Warriors.

After medical checks the Warriors confirmed the knee problem is likely to see Luke sidelined for the majority of May, missing four NRL matches in the process.

That will mean Luke is unlikely to feature when the Warriors host Wests Tigers and Sydney Roosters in the next fortnight, while also missing a trip to Parramatta and the visit of South Sydney Rabbitohs.

Luke's injury is a blow to the third-placed Warriors as they look to maintain their impressive early season firm, the Auckland-based franchise having won six of their opening eight matches.
