It was a busy Thursday at the DW Stadium as Wigan Warriors announced the arrival of two new signings as well as six players agreeing fresh deals.

The reigning Super League champions confirmed Salford Red Devils centre Jake Bibby and Castleford Tigers prop Mitch Clark will arrive ahead of the 2020 campaign on respective two and three-year contracts.

In addition, Joe Burgess, Tony Clubb, Chris Hankinson, Oliver Partington, Morgan Smithies and Jack Wells have all put pen to paper on new deals, those extensions ranging from one to four years.

The Warriors have failed to recreate last season's form in 2019, toiling in ninth position having lost 10 of their 16 matches.

And executive director Kris Radlinski promised further developments as the club continues its search for a head coach for next season.

"Recruitment and retention is a year-long process but it is at this time of year that everything starts to take shape for the following year," he said.

"We need to finalise our coaching team for 2020 and more announcements on signings are coming very soon.

"This has been a really hectic period as we are just a few weeks away from moving into our new HQ at Robin Park.

"It's a development that we are really proud of and we will be announcing opportunities for our fans to look around very soon."
