Canberra Raiders stole a dramatic 32-28 win at Canterbury Bulldogs with three tries in the final seven minutes to turn an absorbing NRL match on its head.

The Bulldogs were seemingly cruising towards a home win as they led 28-14 following Rhyse Martin's 73rd-minute penalty, but a frantic finish saw the pendulum swing back in the visitors' favour.

It was a harsh defeat for Martin, whose hat-trick of second-half tries looked to have single-handedly won the match, the back-rower accounting for all but four of his side's points.

Jeremy Marshall-King crossed first for Canterbury, before tries from Sam Williams and Jarrod Croker gave the Raiders a 10-8 half-time lead.

Martin came to the fore as he scored once before Nick Cotric replied and twice more afterwards, his second penalty of the match then capping a sublime individual display.

But it was improbably not enough as Blake Austin went over with six minutes to go and two tries in the space of two minutes followed through Joseph Tapine and Joseph Leilua to snatch the points.
