All 16 NRL teams will descend on Brisbane for the inaugural Magic Round at Suncorp Stadium this week.

Gold Coast Titans will kick off the festival of rugby league against Cronulla Sharks on Thursday, with Josh Morris' side aiming to record a landmark victory in the fixture.

Meanwhile, fans of host team Brisbane Broncos will be hoping to continue their impressive home record against Manly Sea Eagles in Friday's second game.

THURSDAY

Gold Coast Titans (2-6) v Cronulla Sharks (4-4)

- Should the Sharks beat the Titans, it will be the first time either side has won this fixture more than twice in succession.

- Jai Arrow is the only player for either team to have gained more than 1,000 metres over the advantage line (1,077) this season, 341m more than the Sharks' best (Josh Dugan, 736m).

 

FRIDAY

Wests Tigers (4-4) v Penrith Panthers (2-6)

- The Panthers have won seven of their last eight NRL matches against the Tigers (L1), including their last five on the bounce.

- Luke Brooks (Tigers) and Nathan Cleary (Panthers) have made 12 offloads this season, more than any other half-backs in the competition.

Manly Sea Eagles (5-3) v Brisbane Broncos (2-6)

- The Broncos have won five of their last six NRL matches against the Sea Eagles at Suncorp Stadium (L1); their five wins in that span coming by an average margin of 25 points.

- Jack Bird (Broncos) has made 46 tackle breaks, which is fourth in the NRL for 2019 and 20 more than the Sea Eagles' best (Reuben Garrick, 26).

 

SATURDAY

Canterbury Bulldogs (2-6) v Newcastle Knights (3-5)

- No team has scored more tries in the final quarter of NRL games this season than the Knights (10).

- Aiden Tolman (Bulldogs) is the only player from either side to have made 300+ tackles (311) this season, almost 60 more than the best Newcastle player in the same position (David Klemmer, 265).

New Zealand Warriors (2-6) v St George Illawarra Dragons (4-4)

- The Warriors and Dragons (seven each) average more line breaks per game than any other clubs this season.

- The Dragons (nine) have scored the joint-most tries following an opposition error this term; only the North Queensland Cowboys (12) have conceded in this manner than the Warriors (nine).

Melbourne Storm (6-2) v Parramatta Eels (5-3)

- The Eels (eight) have scored the most tries in the 10 minutes after half-time of any team, though no team has conceded fewer tries in this period than the Storm (one).

- Reed Mahoney (Eels) has made the most tackles of any player this season (423), 55 more than the Storm's best (Cameron Smith, 368).

 

SUNDAY

Sydney Roosters (7-1) v Canberra Raiders (6-2)

- The Roosters won their previous NRL game in Queensland but have not managed consecutive wins in the state since 2012-2014 (three wins).

- The Raiders have won their last three NRL matches against the Roosters, with two of those victories coming by two points or fewer.

South Sydney Rabbitohs (7-1) v North Queensland Cowboys (3-5)

- The Rabbitohs have averaged 193 carries per match this season, more than any other team in the competition and 16 per game more than the Cowboys.

- Jason Taumalolo (Cowboys) has gained an average of 150m across the advantage line per game this season, the second most of any forward (Klemmer, 152m).
