Kane Linnett has joined Super League side Hull KR on a three-year deal after nine campaigns in the NRL.

The 29-year-old centre has followed Australian Mitch Garbutt in moving to Rovers this week, having spent the previous seven seasons with North Queensland Cowboys, a team he helped to an NRL Grand Final victory in 2015.

The Cowboys opted not to renew his deal when it expired following the 2018 season, giving Linnett the chance to fulfil his ambition of playing in Europe.

"I always wanted to finish my career in the Super League," he said in quotes published on hullkr.co.uk.

"I'm really excited to get over there and meet a new bunch of boys, get settled in, work hard and hopefully have a good year."
