Blake Ferguson and Clinton Gutherson both crossed twice as Parramatta Eels overcame Canterbury Bulldogs 36-16, while Wests Tigers cruised to a 34-6 win over New Zealand Warriors to maintain their 100 per cent start too.

The Eels had started their season by beating Penrith Panthers in round one, though they needed to recover from an early deficit to claim a second straight victory, with Kieran Foran and Reimis Smith touching down to give the Bulldogs an early 10-0 advantage.

Ferguson and Gutherson's first scores and Mitchell Moses' subsequent conversions ensured Parramatta had a 12-10 half-advantage - and their try-scorers both dotted down again within five minutes of the second half to take the game away from Canterbury.

Shaun Lane and Dylan Brown added further tries - Moses remaining perfect with each of his six conversion attempts - and Dylan Napa's 63rd-minute score for Canterbury could not spark a comeback.

Veteran hooker Robbie Farah played a starring role as the Tigers became the fourth team to make it two wins from two, Michael Maguire's men topping the table ahead of fellow unbeaten sides Parramatta, South Sydney Rabbitohs and Melbourne Storm.

Farah produced a brilliant pass for Corey Thompson to put the Tigers on the board in the 34th minute - and it was from the 35-year-old's grubber kick that led to Robert Jennings adding a second try before the break.

The Warriors hit back when Ken Maumalo dived home in the corner, but Farah found Thompson near the line again for his second score and the home side never looked back.

Mahe Fonua was the next to go over before Farah himself got in on the act, with Michael Chee Kam scoring their sixth and final try.
