NRL veterans Robbie Farah and Benji Marshall have each opted to continue their careers with Wests Tigers for one more season.

Two members of the club's 2005 Premiership-winning side, both Farah and Marshall recently returned to the Tigers and will now play on with the Sydney outfit.

Hooker Farah is the Tigers' most-capped player with 255 appearances, having spent all of his career with the club except a brief stint at South Sydney Rabbitohs.

Marshall has also played in more than 200 games for the Tigers and the stylish half-back won the 2010 Golden Boot during his first stint with the club.

"It was always my intention coming back here to finish my career here," said Marshall, who, like Farah, made his Tigers debut in 2003.

"I think it's pretty special to start and finish my career at the same place, and to be able to do it with Robbie is something I never could have imagined happening.

"You can't get that opportunity to play again if you decide to retire and I didn't want to have any regrets. I still feel like I have plenty to offer."

Farah was quoted by NRL.com as saying: "When I signed on [for Wests in June] I thought this would be my last year, to be honest. I had a difficult start of the year and last year was tough as well.

"But that all changed [coming] back to the Tigers. I came back here with a focus of trying to enjoy my footy. What it came down to in the end was the fact I really was enjoying my footy. I wasn't ready to walk away from it all tomorrow."
