Castleford Tigers set up a Super League semi-final with Wigan Warriors as they thrashed Wakfield Trinity 42-10 thanks to four tries from Greg Eden.

Winger Eden crossed twice in the first half as Castleford raced into an 18-0 half-time lead, a gap that Wakefield never looked like bridging.

Bill Tupou responded for Wakefield eight minutes after the restart before Grant Millington and Reece Lyne traded tries.

Eden put the game beyond doubt as he went over twice more, his third a frightening exhibition of his pace, and Junior Moors rounded off the rout.

It means Castleford are secure of third place in the Super 8s and will take on second-placed Wigan in the last four.

Warrington Wolves are now locked into fourth and will take on League Leaders' Shield winners St Helens for a place in the Grand Final.
