Sydney Roosters half-back Cooper Cronk has been passed fit to start against his former club Melbourne Storm in the NRL Grand Final just over a week after suffering a "severe" shoulder injury.

The inspirational former Australia playmaker said he was a "long shot" to take on the defending champions at ANZ Stadium due to a rotator cuff injury sustained in the 12-4 Preliminary Final victory over the South Sydney Rabbitohs last Saturday.

Yet following a week of intense rehabilitation, Cronk will line up for the decider in Sydney.

The 34-year-old made the move to Sydney after playing his part in the Storm's 34-6 drubbing of North Queensland Cowboys in the decider last year.

Mitch Aubusson moves to the second row and lock Isaac Liu drops to the bench, with centre Paul Momirovski missing out.

The Storm line up as named on Tuesday, with all eyes on full-back Billy Slater in what will be the final match of his illustrious career.
