Catalans Dragons stole a dramatic Super League win on Wednesday as Leeds Rhinos collapsed to a 28-25 defeat.

An entertaining clash had seen Leeds cruising at the break, the hosts were 24-10 ahead at Headingley, but a sloppy finish allowed the visitors to take the points after a late rally inspired by Kenny Edwards' brace.

The pattern for a back-and-forth encounter was set early, with five tries inside the opening 23 minutes.

Jack Walker, Liam Sutcliffe and Cameron Smith crossed for the Rhinos, but scores from Samisoni Langi and Josh Drinkwater kept Catalans in touch.

The game settled a little from that point onwards, yet Luke Briscoe - who is back at Leeds on loan from Featherstone Rovers - boosted the home team's advantage on the stroke of half-time.

However, the tide turned after the restart. Fouad Yaha pulled a try back for the Dragons before Lewis Tierney and Edwards crossed in quick succession, levelling the match with around 20 minutes remaining.

Catalans' momentum slowed and Sutcliffe kicked a drop goal that looked set to be decisive, only for the Rhinos to gift Edwards the opportunity to score the match-winning try.
