Brisbane Broncos ensured a home eliminator in the NRL Finals thanks to a stunning four-try haul from Corey Oates in Sunday's 48-16 victory over Manly Sea Eagles.

Oates showed his incredible speed to go over twice when starting from his own tryline, his hat-trick score a particular highlight after excellent work from Anthony Milford.

Milford collected a kick close to his own line before dashing 40 metres and producing a perfectly-weighted grubber kick that Oates raced onto.

It was the stand-out moment of a stunning eight-try display from the Broncos, who jump from eighth to sixth in the end-of-season table, securing a home clash with St George Illawarra Dragons in the elimination final.

Cronulla Sharks made history with their 30-18 win against Canterbury Bulldogs earlier in the day, the result meaning all of the top four finish the campaign on equal points for the first time.

After four first-half scores, Valentine Holmes grabbed his 21st try of the season as the Sharks eased past their hosts at ANZ Stadium.

The Bulldogs refused to lie down, though, and narrowed the gap before Sosaia Feki put the Sharks out of sight.

Victory secured fourth place in the ladder for the Sharks, setting up a qualifying final against minor premiers Sydney Roosters next weekend.
