Bradford Bulls hooker George Flanagan will miss the rest of the Championship season after he was banned for eight weeks for an "attack to the testicles" in the defeat to Toronto Wolfpack.

Flanagan pleaded guilty to an attack on Toronto full-back Hakim Miloudi at Odsal on August 4 and has also been fined £250.

The incident occurred in a 25-20 win for leaders Toronto, and the punishment for the 32-year-old was announced by the Rugby Football League on its website on Tuesday.

Former Super League champions Bradford have just three regular-season games remaining of the current campaign.

They stand just a slim chance of reaching the play-offs, meaning Flanagan is likely to be required to sit out the first five matches of next term.
