Former Australia and Queensland representative Dave Taylor is making an NRL return after signing a one-year deal with the Canberra Raiders.
Taylor, 28, spent last year with the Catalans Dragons in the Super League, having previously played for the Brisbane Broncos, South Sydney Rabbitohs and Gold Coast Titans.
A former Maroon and Kangaroo, Taylor was last year fined for cocaine possession.
The Raiders will have to wait until round three to have Taylor available after the NRL imposed a two-game ban.
"Everyone at the Raiders has made me feel very welcome and I'm looking forward to the season ahead now the contract has been finalised," Taylor said in a statement.
"The Raiders have given me a chance to re-start my NRL career and I want to do all I can to repay them."
Canberra face the North Queensland Cowboys and Cronulla Sharks before a meeting with the Wests Tigers.
