Newcastle Knights forward Pauli Pauli has been released from hospital after sustaining a dislocated hip in a car accident.
The 22-year-old was admitted following his involvement in a multi-vehicle collision on a Sydney motorway on Wednesday.
Pauli will undergo further examinations this week in order to determine a timeframe for his recovery.
A Knights statement read: "Pauli Pauli was released from Gosford Hospital on Saturday following a car accident on Wednesday night.
"He is limited to weight-bearing activities due to a dislocated hip. Pauli requires rest as the initial stage of his recovery.
"An MRI scan this week will provide greater clarity in terms of his return to play.
"The club would like to thank the emergency workers and staff at Gosford Hospital."
