Joe Greenwood has become the latest English recruit in the NRL, joining Gold Coast Titans as part of a swap deal that sees Zeb Taia move to St Helens.
One of the most promising young forwards in Super League in recent seasons, 23-year-old back-rower Greenwood has signed a three-year deal with the Titans.
"He adds some size to our forward pack and will provide some good impact on the edges," said Titans COO Tony Mestrov.
The vastly experienced and versatile Taia, meanwhile, returns to Super League after one season on the Gold Coast. He was named in the 2015 Super League Dream Team during a three-year stint with Catalans Dragons.
Elsewhere in the NRL, Penrith Panthers prop Sam McKendry is facing a potentially lengthy lay-off after suffering another anterior cruciate ligament injury.
McKendry missed the latter part of last season with an ACL tear and injured the same knee in a trial game against Parramatta Eels on Saturday.
On Monday, the Panthers revealed scans had confirmed a second tear for the 27-year-old former New Zealand international, although the club are hopeful he will be able to return at some point in the 2017 season.
Penrith quoted a tweet from their executive general manager Phil Gould, which read: "Sam McKendry scans show partial torn ACL. Part ACL intact. Rest of knee strong. Sam will rehab. Fingers crossed returns soon."
