England Rugby League cancel January training camp

England Rugby League have confirmed that the team's proposed warm weather training camp in Dubai at the end of January has been cancelled.

Discussions with Super League clubs, the coaching staff and the Rugby Football League ultimately determined that initial agreements and plans could not be delivered, with the domestic season set to commence in early February.

The training camp had been organised with the 2017 Rugby League World Cup in mind, with the competition starting in October and spread between venues in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.

England are next in action in May's mid-season Test, with the opponents yet to be announced.
