Welson Sim was unable to win his third individual gold medal
at the 2017 SEA Games after finishing fourth in the men's 1500m freestyle event on Saturday.
Despite being his favourite event, he only managed to clock 15:45.31s, which was more than 25 seconds behind winner Vietnam's Nguyen Huy Hoang (15:20.10s), who set a new Games record at the same time.
Defending champion Lam Quant Nhat (15:23.94s) and Indonesia's Aflah Fadlan Prawira (15:28.69s) came in second and third respectively.
