Daniel Ricciardo says he will definitely sign a new Red Bull contract during the mid-season Formula One break.

Ricciardo's current deal expires at the end of this season and the Australian has long since faced questions over his future.

Ferrari were linked with Ricciardo, but the Scuderia did not show the level of interest the 29-year-old expected.

With no seats available at Mercedes next year, Ricciardo is ready to formally commit himself to Red Bull before the Belgian Grand Prix.

"It'll definitely be done by Spa so whether it gets announced over the break or at Spa but it's just a little bit of fine-tuning." he said.

"It's all good. You will hear something soon I'm sure."

Ricciardo is fifth in the driver standings after finishing fourth in the Hungarian Grand Prix last weekend.
