The provisional calendar has been released for the 2019 MotoGP season, showing no changes from the current campaign.

There will again be 19 races next year, playing out in the same order as in 2018, starting in Qatar on March 10 - with a night race - and ending in Valencia on November 17.

That represents a slightly shorter timespan than this season, with next year featuring double-headers in August and September as well as a repeat of the Japan-Australia-Malaysia triple-header in October and November.

The cancellation of the British Grand Prix will see only 18 races counted in 2018, but the event at Silverstone returns for the next campaign.

Marc Marquez currently leads the world championship by 59 points and he is chasing a third straight title.
