ONE Championship featherweight contender Bruno “Puccibull” Pucci exercises his thoughts on the tetralogy between ONE Bantamweight World Champion Bibiano “The Flash” Fernandes and former titleholder Kevin “The Silencer” Belingon.

“The Silencer” and “The Flash” will meet under unique circumstances at the historic ONE: CENTURY PART II at the Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan on Sunday, 13 October.

The two athletes will share the spotlight with 28 World Champions, and their bout is one of four World Title match-ups on the double-header.

But what makes this upcoming bout even more exciting is that their last encounter – also in Tokyo – came to an unsatisfying conclusion when Belingon committed an accidental foul and got disqualified.

Pucci picks Fernandes ahead of the incredible battle in the Japanese capital, but he knows it will be a close and intense fourth bout.

“They know each other very well by now,” he said. “I remember watching their last fight and I felt Bibiano was doing well – he was winning the fight.”

The Brazilian knows Belingon is no slouch either, and he respects the skills “The Silencer” brings to every match.

“Belingon did a good job in their second match when he had the belt. But I felt Bibiano was winning in the second and third rounds, so I think he will come up with the same game plan,” Pucci explained.

Pucci’s confidence in Fernandes is understandable. “The Flash” is an icon in the sport and shows no signs of slowing down. Win or lose, he competes with the heart of a World Champion.

This was evident in his razor-thin World Title loss to Belingon in November 2018. The bout remains one of Fernandes’ most exhilarating matches.

“I think they are both going to grind it out, but I feel that it will go [to a] decision,” Pucci said. “He can still submit Belingon, but because both sides know each other’s game plan pretty well, I think a decision is more likely.”

Another convincing victory over Belingon is all Fernandes needs to enter the conversation as the greatest bantamweight in ONE history.

This finale could be the curtain call on a historic rivalry between two immensely accomplished World Champions.

Fans are in for a treat when these two athletes meet at The Home Of Martial Arts at the Ryogoku Kokugikan on 13 October in Tokyo, Japan.

The double-header also features four World Title bouts, three World Grand Prix Championship Finals, and four World Champion versus World Champion match-ups.
