On Friday, 7 December, Malaysians will have another reason to cheer as one of their local athletes, Mohammed “Jordan Boy” Bin Mahmoud, will join ONE Championship’s growing pool of talent.

The Kedah-born striker will make his promotional debut at ONE: DESTINY OF CHAMPIONS. He is scheduled to face Stergos “Greek Dynamite” Mikkios in a ONE Super Series Muay Thai bantamweight contest on the preliminary card.

Here are four things you should know about Mohammed ahead of his epic showdown this Friday.

#1 He Is Stylish

Malaysians love fashion, which means Mohammed’s arrival will be a welcomed sight.

Throughout his Muay Thai career, the 22-year-old has often donned a stylish boxing robe, sported various different hairstyles, and rocked a fake chest tattoo bearing his name “Jordan Boy.”

“Style is important to me, and throughout this past week with ONE Championship, I had to look my best,” he said.

#2 He Loves Bonding With His Dad

When he is not sharpening his Muay Thai arsenal, the Kedah-born athlete loves spending time with the man who means the most to him — his father, Mahmoud Omar.

His dad owns a construction company, and just like how he has supported his son throughout his career, “Jordan Boy” does the same.

Mohammed helps his father carry construction items and assists him with tools when he needs his help.

“My dad is a tough guy. He tirelessly works to put food for us on the table, and I’ve always helped him since day one,” the young Malaysian said.

“He’s supported me throughout my Muay Thai career, and the best way to repay him is by putting on a good show on 7 December and by helping him with what he does best.“

#3 He Is An Avid Gamer

Just like every other youngster, “Jordan Boy” loves playing games — especially Mobile Legends.

Though he has cut down his play time in preparation for his ONE Super Series debut, the Muay Thai star confessed that gaming keeps him busy whenever he has spare time.

“Apart from Muay Thai and helping around the house, I love playing games on my handphone,” he explained.

Also, with his bout purse, he hopes to purchase a few more titles.

“I’m hoping to [get] the knockout on Friday and maybe get a couple of games after the main event of ONE: DESTINY OF CHAMPIONS,” he added.

#4 His Idol Competes In ONE

With 98 wins in his professional career, it was no surprise that Mohammed cited fellow ONE Super Series competitor and Armenian-born Italian kickboxer Giorgio Petrosyan as his martial arts hero.

“[He is] the best ever in the sport,” the Malaysian said.

“It’s such an honor to share the same organization with my idol, and I cannot wait to meet him one day.”

Also, he cannot wait for Friday’s main event between legendary Muay Thai world champion Yodsanklai IWE Fairtex and Luis Regis.
