On Friday, 7 February, ONE: WARRIOR’S CODE brings a stellar lineup of martial artists and World Champions to Jakarta, Indonesia.

The night will be jammed pack with exciting contests – a World Title match, epic featherweight showdowns, and intriguing battles between elite flyweights will be sure to keep the fans on the edge of their seats.

Before the action gets underway, here are three reasons why you must catch this event live at the Istora Senayan.

The Coronation Of A New World Champion

Friday will be a historic night in martial arts.

For the first time, a new ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion will be crowned.

Thai superstar Petchmorakot Petchyindee Academy and his compatriot Pongsiri PK.Saenchaimuaythaigym will face off in the main event for the inaugural World Title.

After testing his skills in the world of kickboxing, Petchmorakot returns to the sport that made him a household name in Ubon Ratchathani.

The Petchyindee Academy representative is coming off a sensational win in Muay Thai.

In November 2019 at ONE: EDGE OF GREATNESS, Petchmorakot stopped Charlie “Boy” Peters in the second-round with a sublime knee strike to the British athlete’s temple.

Although Petchmorakot’s next opponent might have answered the call on just a single day’s notice, Pongsiri is ready to step up for a once-in-a-lifetime bout.

The Bangkok native is a four-time Muay Thai World Champion who holds a 153-31-1 record, and he is battle-hardened through the stadium circuit.

You do not want to miss this explosive main event when these two knockout artists clash.

A Fantastic Featherweight Showdown

Former ONE Featherweight World Title challenger Koyomi “Moushigo” Matsushima will return to action for a featherweight tilt with fearsome South Korean striker “The Fighting God” Kim Jae Woong.

With his fast and furious mix of Kyokushin karate attacks, the Japanese athlete stormed to the number one contender spot after posting back-to-back victories in short order against Marat Gafurov and Kwon Won II.

Although Matsushima fell short of his goal of becoming the new featherweight king, he has the opportunity to get back into contention with a win against Woong in Jakarta.

If the South Korean striker has any say in the matter, Matsushima might be in for a nasty surprise.

“The Fighting God” is a TFC Featherweight Champion and taekwondo black belt who brutalized Rafael “Indio” Nunes in his debut in November 2019.

Woong displayed both power and aggression as he walked down his foe with punches before he curled a left hook into Nunes’ midsection. After landing a few piercing knees moments later, his Brazilian rival was out for the night.

Both men are known for stopping their opponents early, and a battle between the two could see either man move up to challenge Martin “The Situ-Asian” Nguyen for the gold.

Local Hero Eko Roni Saputra Is Back In Action

Eko Roni Saputra will get another homecoming reception when he returns to Jakarta to take on Cambodia’s Khon Sichan on Friday.

Saputra is a distinguished wrestler who has won multiple national championships, and he even claimed silver and bronze medals at the Southeast Asian Games before transitioning to mixed martial arts.

Back in October 2019 at ONE: DAWN OF VALOR in Jakarta, the Indonesian flyweight stopped Kaji “Alpha” Ebin in just 19 seconds for his first win.

He hopes to make his compatriots inside the Istora Senayan proud with another quick victory against Khon.
