ONE Championship’s final event of 2019 promises exciting bouts and action aplenty as Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia plays host to ONE: MARK OF GREATNESS this Friday, 6 December.

The 13-bout card features some of Malaysia’s finest martial artists and a host of international contenders looking to move a step closer to World Championship gold.

Here are three reasons why Singaporeans must check out Friday’s action-packed event from the Axiata Arena.

The ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Championship

Two premier bantamweight kickboxers in ONE Super Series will square off for the World Title. Russia’s Alaverdi “Babyface Killer” Ramazanov meets China’s “Muay Thai Boy” Zhang Chenglong in the main event.

Both young warriors are coming off sensational finishes. Ramazanov obliterated Lion Fight Muay Thai World Champion Ognjen Topic in August, and the 24-year-old Russian ace is determined to steal the show once again.

His opponent, Zhang, emerged victorious in a split-decision thriller against Kong Sambo earlier in February, and then he authored a stunning comeback win against Panicos Yusuf in May. The 21-year-old Shenzhen native then put away Tyler Hardcastle in June with a first-round finish.

Both men are aiming to add the biggest prize in martial arts to their already impressive resume, and their showdown promises to be an absolute spectacle.

Sam-A Gaiyanghadao Is On The Brink Of Another World Title

Muay Thai legend Sam-A Gaiyanghadao recently secured a resounding victory over Daren Rolland at ONE: CENTURY PART I.

The former ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion rebounded in style with an explosive knockout of his French foe in the second round.

The Evolve MMA representative has tasted ONE World Championship gold before, and he wants nothing more than to add another World Title to his collection – this time, in his preferred weight class.

He will get the opportunity when he faces Chinese sensation and Enfusion World Champion “Golden Boy” Wang Junguang for the inaugural ONE Strawweight Kickboxing World Title.

Ryuto Sawada Steps Up Next For Evolve

Ever since Evolve supplemented its roster with a stellar lineup of new talent, the rookies have all delivered incredible wins.

The likes of “Pretty Boy” Troy Worthen, Kim Kyu Sung, Aleksi “The Giant” Toivonen, and Roshan Mainam have all authored some magnificent finishes inside the Circle this year.

Now, fellow representative Ryuto “Dragon Boy” Sawada – the Japanese wrestling dynamo – has a chance to pick up where his teammates left off.

Sawada dominated in his ONE Championship debut in August. He needed just 69 seconds to defeat Aziz “The Krauser” Calim and briefly displayed his impressive grappling chops.

The Singapore-based Japanese athlete has World Title aspirations, and he is intent on conquering all who stand before him to get to the gold.

Fans will be glad to know Sawada is back in action against South African flyweight Bokang Masunyane at ONE: MARK OF GREATNESS.

For one last time this year, ONE Championship returns to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for ONE: MARK OF GREATNESS at the Axiata Arena on 6 December.

The preliminary card starts on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and the ONE Super App at 6:00pm Singapore Standard Time (SGT).

To watch the main card, tune-in to Toggle at 8:30pm SGT. Also, Channel 5 will cut-in to the live broadcast at 10:00pm SGT.
