Last Friday, 8 November, ONE: MASTERS OF FATE delivered perhaps the best show that fans inside the Mall Of Asia Arena have seen this year.

Of the many athletes who rose to the occasion, some elevated their standings with huge victories while others surprised with spectacular finishes.

We unpack all the action from this incredible night and reveal the three key lessons we learned from the spirited performances in Manila, Philippines.

India Has Another Potential Superstar In The Making

Indian mixed martial arts fans will undoubtedly be excited over Roshan Mainam’s incredible debut.

A product of the famous Guru Hanuman Akhara wrestling camp, Mainam has added even more skills to his wrestling game, and he looked impressive in his match-up with Khon Sichan.

The four-time Delhi State Wrestling Champion used his powerful grappling to control his Cambodian adversary and force the tap with an Americana just minutes into the first round.

After that impressive finish, Mainam is expected to achieve great things on the global stage of martial arts.

Stamp Fairtex’s Striking Is On Another Level

The ONE Atomweight Kickboxing and Muay Thai World Champion showed why she belongs with the best martial artists on the planet.

Stamp Fairtex stood toe-to-toe with one of the division’s elite athletes, Bi “Killer Bee” Nguyen, and pulled off an effortless victory with her amazing stand-up skills.

The 21-year-old Pattaya sensation showed mastery of range to land her punches and kicks while staying clear of Nguyen’s strikes.

Stamp also did well to stay on her feet and drove knees into the midsection of Nguyen inside the clinch.

The Thai hero rarely looked in danger as she cruised to a unanimous decision win.

Stamp has looked imperious in her three mixed martial arts contests so far. As her striking continues to improve, it looks like only exceptional grapplers will stand a chance against her.

Pacio Is Now The Undisputed Strawweight King

Joshua “The Passion” Pacio successfully defended his ONE Strawweight World Title against veteran Rene “The Challenger” Catalan and proved why he is the undisputed number one in his division.

Pacio stood his ground against the grappling of “The Challenger” as he managed to scramble out from a dangerous leg lock submission attempt early on.

Then the Team Lakay representative began to assert control on the canvas and locked in an arm-triangle to seal the win.

Pacio has defeated all the top contenders in his division, including former World Champions Yoshitaka “Nobita” Naito and Yosuke “The Ninja” Saruta.

It is hard to imagine that Pacio, with his long list of accomplishments, is only 23 years old. The future looks bright for the Filipino hero, and this could be the start of a long reign as the strawweight king.
