Tiger Woods is in a tie for the lead at the Tour Championship after shooting a two-under 68 to move to seven under for the tournament.
Justin Rose shares the lead after he posted a three-under 67 in the second round on Friday.
For Woods, it was all about the putter. He was dropping in long putts throughout the day and a birdie at 15 got him to eight under.
He took a step back immediately with a double bogey at 16, but was able to get a shot back on 18 to get back into a tie for the lead.
Woods is looking for his first win since the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational in 2013 and East Lake Golf Course is a tough one to tame, but he is making good work of it through two rounds.
"It's a long season and we've played a lot toward the end of our season, and this is not an easy golf course," Woods told Golf Channel after Friday's play. "A little different than we played two weeks ago where we were firing at absolutely every single flag, this is different, this is very much strategic and lots and lots of patience here."
Rose has consistently been in contention during the FedEx Cup play-offs and he once again played well, carding five birdies and just two bogeys.
If Rose were to win this week, he would win the FedEx Cup title.
Rory McIlroy is in solo third at five under while Billy Horschel, Patrick Cantlay, Jon Rahm and Justin Thomas are all tied at four under.
Thomas can also win the title if he were to climb to the top of the leaderboard this weekend.
