The 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup is over, but the festivities are just getting started for the U.S. team.

Ahead of their championship parade scheduled for Wednesday in New York, the USWNT appeared Tuesday on "Good Morning America" following its return from France. The team won its fourth World Cup title on Sunday, retaining the trophy with a 2-0 victory over the Netherlands in the final.

The USWNT also announced its upcoming schedule, with the first game for the World Cup champions slated for Aug. 3 at the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles.

But beyond the Americans' celebrations, the media tour also means using their platform to highlight current issues, which for star Megan Rapinoe is the gender pay gap.

“I think the conversation needs to move from, you know, are we worth it, or should we have equal pay, to what can we do now?” she said. “How can FIFA support the federations, how can federations support their players better, how can the leagues support their players better?”

Rapinoe also offered advice for fans looking to help by encouraging them to support their local clubs.

“I think there’s a part in this for everybody to do, and I think we’ve really left the old conversation behind us and now it’s time for that action,” she said.

Rapinoe, the tournament's Golden Boot and Golden Ball winner, previously spoke about the disparity in prize money between the women's and men's World Cup finals. She noted the United States players took home $4 million compared to the $38 million France got for winning the men's World Cup last year in Russia.
