NBA Finals: Game 5

Schedule: Tuesday, June 11th @ 9:00am
Channel: Astro Supersport 4 (CH817 & CH836)
The Toronto Raptors downed defending champions Golden State Warriors in front of the latter's fans twice last week to take a commanding 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals. Now back at the Scotiabank Arena for Game 5, will Kawhi Leonard and Co. seal the Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy for the team's first-ever NBA title, or will the Warriors force a Game 6?

FIFA World Cup Qualifying: Timor-Leste vs Malaysia

Schedule: Tuesday, June 11th @ 8:45pm
Channel: Astro Arena (CH801 & CH802)
Barring a spectacular meltdown, Malaysia have sealed their spot in the second round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying after handing Timor-Leste a 7-1 thrashing, incidentally their biggest win in an official FIFA match since beating Macau 9-0 in 1993. With their progression all but secured, head coach Tan Cheng Hoe might opt to experiment around in the second leg.

FIFA Women's World Cup: Germany vs Spain

Schedule: Thursday, June 13th @ 12:00am
Channel: Astro Supersport (CH810 & CH831)
With Group B likely coming down to these two teams, this game is more than just deciding who will finish top of the group and get the bragging rights. In the Round of 16, the group's runners-up will face the Group F winners, which is highly likely to be defending champions United States. On the other hand, the Group B winners will take on a third-place team, making it relatively an easier route to the quarter-finals.

FIVB Volleyball Women's Nation League: Brazil vs Serbia

Schedule: Thursday, June 13th @ 2:40pm
Channel: Astro Supersport 2 (CH811 & CH833)
Sitting eighth on the league standings at the time of writing, world no. 1 Serbia are in danger of missing out on a place in the FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League finals after winning just five of their nine matches. With only six matches left, they cannot afford another defeat especially against Brazil, who are now occupying the final qualification spot.

ITTF Japanese Open

Schedule: June 14th - 16th
Channel: Astro Supersport 2 (CH811 & CH833)
Both Harimoto Tomokazu and Ito Mima lost in the Hong Kong Open finals last week, but the Japanese stars perhaps could fare better when they return home for the Japanese Open, where they were victorious last year, and finally break the Chinese dominance in the 2019 ITTF World Tour. Chinese players have won all the World Tour competitions so far in the men's singles, women's singles as well as women's doubles events.

PGA US Open Championship

Schedule: June 14th - 16th
Channel: Fox Sports 2 (CH813 & CH829)
Will we witness golfing history this weekend? Brooks Koepka begins his quest to become the second male golfer to win the US Open three times in a row since Willie Anderson did it in the early 20th century, and only the seventh man to conquer the course more than twice, as the world no. 1 tees off alongside British Open winner Francesco Molinari and US Amateur champion Viktor Hovland. The star-studded field also sees Tiger Woods being grouped together with Jordan Spieth and Justin Rose, and Phil Mickelson in the same group as Dustin Johnson and Graeme McDowell.

Asian Rugby Championship: Hong Kong vs Malaysia

Schedule: Saturday, June 15th @ 4:00pm
Channel: Astro Arena (CH801 & CH802)
Despite having lost twice to South Korea, the Hibiscus have shown slight improvements from last year as their margins of defeat have been narrowed down. Now going up against title holders Hong Kong, who demolished them over two matches in the previous edition, Malaysia have a chance to show that they are no longer the same team as before.

ONE Championship: Legendary Quest

Schedule: Saturday, June 15th @ 7:00pm
Channels: Astro Arena (CH801 & CH802), Astro Supersport 2 (CH811 & CH833)
Shanghai is set to host a mix of kickboxing, Muay Thai and MMA action this weekend as ONE Championship comes to town. The main event sees two-belt champion Stamp Fairtex defend her ONE Atomweight Muay Thai World Title against WBC Muay Thai World Champion Alma Juniku, while the rest of the stacked card features Malaysia's rising star Agilan Thani against Akiyama Yoshihiro, who makes his first MMA appearance in four years, and kickboxing star Zhang Chenglong taking on Tyler Hardcastle in front of his home crowd.

FIFA U-20 World Cup Final

Schedule: Sunday, June 16th @ 12:00am
Channel: Astro Supersport (CH810 & CH831)
Down to four teams, regardless of the results, history will be made at this year's FIFA Under-20 World Cup. None of the semi-finalists have ever reached the final, and as for Ukraine and Ecuador, it is already their best tournament to date as they never made it past the Round of 16 in previous attempts.

Cricket World Cup: India vs Pakistan

Schedule: Sunday, June 16th @ 5:30pm
Channel: Astro Cricket (CH838)
Arguably the greatest rivalry in the world of cricket, India and Pakistan go head-to-head once again despite their ongoing political tensions. Although they succumbed to a final defeat at the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy, Virat Kohli's side won their most recent ODI meetings at the 2018 Asia Cup and have had a proud record of not losing to Pakistan in Cricket World Cup history.
