Former Malaysia head coach Allan Harris passed away at the age of 74 on Thursday.

He was in charge of the Harimau Malaya between 2000 and 2004, leading them to a third-place finish in the 2004 Tiger Cup.

Before his stint in Malaysia, he was Terry Venables' assistant coach at Barcelona, had a brief stint at Espanyol, and managed Egyptian side Al-Ahly.

He also had a playing career, turning out as a defender for various clubs over 16 years including Chelsea and QPR.

The two clubs were among those who paid tribute to Harris.
