B. Sathianathan said Felda United are aiming for a top-four finish in the Malaysian Super League after heavy June transfer reinforcements.
The Fighters, who are now sixth on the league table, made full use of the mid-season transfer window to recruit three new foreign players – Thiago Augusto Fernandes, Dino Djulbic and Ifedayo Omosuyi – and several locals including Curran Singh Ferns, K. Prabakaran and Safwan Hashim.
With the new additions, Sathianathan was optimistic that his side will be able to put up a fight in the second half of the Super League season.
"I hope the second half of the season won't be a repeat of the first half where we conceded a lot of goals," he told Astro Arena.
"And with Thiago, I believe that our goal-scoring problem will be resolved."
The former Malaysia head coach also demanded his players to do their best in the upcoming Malaysia Cup after failing to win the FA Cup.
"Of course I want to reach the Malaysia Cup final. Throughout my time of coaching in the M-League, I have taken my team to a final on four occasions, so I want it to happen again," he added.
Since Sathianathan took charge of Felda, they have had three wins, four draws and one defeat.
