Astro is ensuring the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia will be the most engaging and interactive FIFA World Cup in Malaysia with new and upgraded digital offerings exclusively for Astro customers with the Sports Pack or the World Cup Channel Pass.

At the forefront is the Stadium Astro VR app (App Store/Google Play), which allows users to experience the World Cup in virtual reality (VR).

The app can be paired with either a VR headset or the Google Cardboard to enjoy an immersive 180-degree VR view of the action during any live World Cup match.

Continuing in catering to the digital lifestyle of football fans during the biggest sporting event of the year, Astro has updated the Stadium Astro app (App Store/Google Play) to be the ultimate World Cup second screen experience.

Besides its regular stream of latest news and stories, the app can show live matches with 37 different camera angles to choose from, including super slow motion, aerial coverage and cable camera system, throughout the tournament.

On top of that, it provides accurate real-time match team stats and results directly from FIFA.

The Astro GO app (App Store/Google Play), which is offering specific passes to watch World Cup matches on the go, has also been updated with improved viewing quality while minimising impact of data usage and battery life.

Astro is the official broadcaster of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia in Malaysia and will be broadcasting all 64 matches in HD from June 14 to July 15.
