DreamHack announced TyLoo and Vici Gaming as teams to receive direct invites for the Asian qualifier, seeing that they have been the two most prominent teams from the region participating in tournaments worldwide.
Six more teams will be determined through the open qualifier, and out of eight, only one will qualify for the main event in Las Vegas, happening on 15th - 19th February 2017.
A total of sixteen teams will play at the main event of DreamHack Masters in Las Vegas, for a total prize pool worth $450,000. Eight teams will receive direct invites to the tournament, while the other eight will join through regional qualifiers. Four teams will qualify through the European qualifiers and another three from the North American qualifers. The Asian qualifier only makes up one slot, we expect competition will be more fierce in this region.
