In their final event for 2017, Garena Malaysia will host the first major tournament for Arena of Valor (AOV) and Legacy Series Grand finals for League of Legends at Comic Fiesta in Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

The AOV Valor Cup Grand Finals will feature Malaysia’s Top 4 teams from the recently announced Malaysia Qualifiers with a prize pool worth RM70,000. A total of 8 qualifiers are currently ongoing in Kuala Lumpur/Selangor, Johor, Perak, Pahang, Melaka, and Penang.

In collaboration with Armaggeddon as the official peripheral partner, Legacy Series will feature the Top 4 amateur League of Legends teams who will play for a prize pool worth RM35,000. Additionally, the Top 2 finishing teams will secure a slot into the League of Legends Championship Malaysia (LCM), Malaysia’s professional league.

According to Justin Lye, Product Manager of Garena Malaysia, he said: “Garena Malaysia had a very productive year in 2017. We started the Garena Student Alliance program, rallied numerous partners towards a vision of collaborative eSports, put eSports content on mainstream TV, and brought in a new mobile game title.

“We hope to outdo ourselves by holding the grand finals of two major titles in major event like Comic Fiesta itself. We cannot think of a better way to end a great year.”

In partnership with Digi, Garena is set to announce a special bundle promotion made exclusively for Comic Fiesta 2017. More details to be released very soon.
