Hardik Pandya has been ruled out of India's upcoming limited-overs series' against Australia due to a back injury.

The all-rounder is suffering from stiffness in his lower back and will play no part in a two-match Twenty20 series and five one-day internationals.

Ravindra Jadeja replaces Pandya in the squad as India step up their preparations for the Cricket World Cup in England.

Pandya made his India comeback during the ODI series in New Zealand last month after serving a ban for making controversial comments that were perceived as sexist on a television show.

India and Australia do battle in the first T20 in Visakhapatnam on Saturday.
