The Warriors were sure to make the most of their visit to Miami.

The team hosted students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, during Wednesday's shootaround at American Airlines Center ahead of Golden State's game against the Heat.

Andre Iguodala and Draymond Green were seen chatting with some of the kids, while Stephen Curry was more physical as he tossed an alley-oop to one student.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr has been a vocal advocate for gun control since long before the shooting last Feb. 14 in which a gunman killed 17 students and staff members while injurying 17 others at the Florida high school. Earlier this month, Kerr commemorated the one-year anniversary of the incident by posting a series of tweets encouraging people to support "March For Our Lives" and similar groups.

"The fortunate thing is the young people leading this ... are going to be much more impactful than old people like me," Kerr said, describing the efforts of teens leading the charge for change as "heartbreaking but inspiring all at once."

The Warriors (43-17) and Heat (26-33) tip off at 7:30 p.m. ET Wednesday.
