Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson is questionable for game two against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals on Sunday.

Thompson is dealing with a left lateral contusion after hurting his ankle during Thursday's 124-114 overtime victory against the Cavaliers in Oakland.

The All-Star guard told reporters on Saturday that he is optimistic and will "do what [he] possibly can to play."

Thompson experienced pain after colliding with Cavaliers guard JR Smith in game one at Oracle Arena.

He returned after an evaluation, scoring 24 points in 45 minutes to help the Warriors draw first blood.

Golden State team-mate Andre Iguodala is not expected to return for game two as he recovers from a left leg contusion.
