Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant was cleared to practice on Sunday.

The Warriors star has been sidelined with a strained right calf since last month, but was back on court on the eve of Game 5 of the NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors.

Warrors head coach Steve Kerr could not confirm Durant's status for Game 5, stating that the team would determine his availability after he worked with some of the younger players.

"What he's doing today, he hasn't done. He's doing more today, and then we'll know after that," Kerr said.

Durant has not played since suffering the injury in Game 5 of Golden State's second-round series against the Houston Rockets.

Before going down with the injury, Durant was averaging 34.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.9 assists through 11 playoff games. He averaged 26 points, 6.4 rebounds and 5.9 assists during the regular season.

The Warriors have gone 6-3 in Durant's absence during the postseason, though all three defeats have been in the championship series against the Raptors.

Golden State trail 3-1 heading into Game 5 in Toronto, and the only team to rally from the same deficit in NBA history was a LeBron James-led Cleveland Cavaliers team that beat the Warriors in 2016.
