Warriors stars DeMarcus Cousins and Andre Iguodala will sit out the team's home game Sunday night against the Pistons, the team announced.

Cousins, of course, just returned to action Jan. 18 coming off an Achilles injury last season. He missed two straight games last week with right ankle soreness. The big man has played well with his new team since his return, averaging 15.9 points and 7.9 rebounds in 23 games.

As for Iguodala …  well, he's 35 and could use some rest as the postseason looms. He's sat four of the past 18 games. In fact, coach Steve Kerr has been giving several of his veterans a break. Stephen Curry sat out Saturday night's loss against the Mavericks.

But the Warriors (49-23) don't have much margin for error if they want the top seed in the Western Conference. Saturday's loss dropped them a half game behind the first-place Nuggets.
