Theodore fires Banvit past Ludwigsburg on the buzzer

Jordan Theodore left it until the final seconds of Banvit's Basketball Champions League quarter-final with MHP RIESEN Ludwigsburg to seal a last-four berth by one point.

The point guard hit the winning shot with 0.7 seconds left on the clock in Germany on Wednesday to complete a 59-53 win that saw Banvit progress 146-145 on aggregate.

Theodore collected 13 points, seven rebounds and five assists in the last-eight tie, with Furkan Korkmaz and Jeremy Chappell providing much-needed assistance as Ludwigsburg fell apart with the semi-finals in sight.

The Germans had a six-point advantage in the closing seconds but they were not able to stop Theodore bustling his way through to complete a stunning revival.

AS Monaco secured their progression as they edged a tight second leg 79-76 against Dinamo Sassari, the French side going through 152-138.

Sergii Gladyr and Zack Wright ensured Monaco never allowed Sassari to get away before a dominant third set pushed them clear.

Sassari threatened a late comeback, but Monaco held on, with Wright finishing with 26 points to his name.

Georgios Bogris top scored for Iberostar Tenerife as they moved through the gears in the final quarter to extinguish any hopes ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne had of going any further.

Bogris scored 12 points in Tenerife's 61-51 second-leg win, a victory that secured a 10-point aggregate victory of 123-113.

The final place in next week's semi-final draw belongs to Umana Reyer Venezia as they used home advantage to overturn a minor first-leg deficit to go through 145-140.

Venezia have a 10-0 record at their home court in the Champions League after Wednesday's win, the Italians overturning what was a nine-point deficit at one stage of the second game.
