Shaun Livingston could be off the court for an extended period of time.
The 33-year-old Warriors backup point guard continues to deal with soreness in his right foot, according to NBC Sports Bay Area. Golden State is not placing a timetable on his return, the report says.
Livingston has been limited to just four games and 57 total minutes this season because of the injury. He has already been ruled out for Golden State’s matchup with the Grizzlies on Monday.
Warriors coach Steve Kerr said he’s hopeful Livingston may be able to play by the end of this week. But, he said the team is taking it slowly with his recovery.
“I talked to him and he’s feeling a lot better,” Kerr said. “But he needs a little practice before we put him out there.”
Livingston has been a key member of the Warriors’ bench during all three of their championship runs. He averaged 5.5 points and two assists in 15.9 minutes per game in 2017-18.
