Thunder forward Paul George has made it clear the Lakers are one of his possible destinations when he becomes a free agent this summer.

He's also said he'll consider staying with the Thunder.

Those two divergent options met head-on in a strange moment Saturday during the NBA All-Star Weekend. As George talked with the media at the Los Angeles Convention Center, a group of Lakers fans chanted "We want Paul! We want Paul!''

According to the Los Angeles Times, Thunder star Russell Westbrook, engaged in his own media session nearby, shouted back at the fans, "Paul ain't going nowhere! It's over for that!"

A lighter moment in the festivities, you might think, except the Times said Westbrook "shouted angrily." Hey, he already lost one high-scoring teammate, Kevin Durant, to a California team, he really doesn't want to lose George.

George, a native of Palmdale in Southern California, appreciated the L.A. fans' affection.

"It makes you feel great, I love it," he said. "It's not to say that I don't. I felt the energy. I know where the love is.''

As for George's future, he said he doesn't know where he'll end up next season.

"I don't," George said. "I know what I feel is best, but it's a long ways until the end of the season."
