Russell Westbrook acknowledged Ricky Rubio's stellar night and triple double, but said it won't happen again.
The Thunder lost Game 3 to the Jazz 115-102 Saturday night, with much of Utah's heat coming from Rubio's 26 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists.
"He made some shots," Westbrook told reporters after the game (via ESPN). "Too comfortable. But I'm gonna shut that s— off next game though. Guarantee that."
The vow prompted a subtle, but pointed response from Jazz rookie Donovan Mitchell.
Rubio became the first player since John Stockton in 2001 to post a triple double in the postseason. He was instrumental in helping the Jazz come back from 12 points behind with a 20-4 run in the first half.
"Having my name next to his name is an honor," Rubio said of Stockton. "I don't know what else to say. It's huge. Have huge respect for him, and playing here is great because I know how important a point guard he is for this franchise."
Westbrook wasn't his usual self Saturday night, finishing with just 14 points on 5-of-17 shooting and eight turnovers.
With the victory, the Jazz hold 2-1 series lead over the Thunder. Game 4 will be Monday night in Salt Lake City.
