Paul George gave nothing away in his final interview to end the season after the Thunder's loss to the Jazz in the first round of the playoffs, but according to ESPN, his decision has already been made.

Ryen Russillo, who has been tied into the NBA for years at ESPN, said on his podcast Tuesday a trusted source is telling him George is "gone" after Oklahoma City's disappointing season.

"Today is the first time I’ve heard from anybody that I trust that George is gone," Russillo said.

"I don’t know where," he continued. "It’s a, ‘He’s gone’ deal.”

George is coming off of a season in which he posted his worst points, rebounds and assists output in the last three years while also shooting more 3-pointers per game than ever before.

It was clear to see Oklahoma City had trouble getting George, Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony to mesh on offense all year long, and there is a consensus growing that George would be better off elsewhere. The 27-year-old star has a player option with the Thunder next season for $20.7 million, but many expect him to opt out and become a free agent.

George did make it sound like after the season that he is willing to work with Thunder brass and his teammates going forward.

"I think the biggest thing is just trying to keep a relationship with Sam (Presti), continue to talk with Sam," George told reporters. "Continue to talk with Billy, with Russ, and figure out the direction we want to go as a group."

However, Russillo said he isn't sure how seriously we should take much of what George is saying at this point.

"Paul George also is somebody who knows what to say," Russillo said. "I wouldn’t trust anything he says.”
