NS Matrix had to settle for fourth place in the 2017 Seri Mutiara Cup after being blown apart by LG Sakers in a 82-103 loss on Sunday.

Despite taking a 30-25 lead at the end of the first quarter, it slowly dissolved for the hosts as the South Korean outfit took advantage of the Matrix's poor shooting and high turnovers.

The home side's 93-96 semi-final defeat to the Beijing Fly Dragons yesterday clearly took the toll on the Malaysian team as they shot just 40 percent from the field and 18 percent from beyond the arc.

Bryson Fonville led in scoring for the Matrix with 18 points as Keith Hornsby only managed 13, shooting on 5-of-17 from the field, while Joseph John Avila put in a good shift by recording nine points and 19 rebounds, more than twice as many by any other player in the game.

Meanwhile, the Beijing Fly Dragons took home the trophy after defeating Croatia's KK Split 80-73 in the final.
