The Nets were so close to breaking a big NBA record Saturday night.

The team collectively shot 24 3-pointers in its 124-96 victory over the Bulls, just one shy of the record the Cavaliers set last season.

Quincy Acy led the charge with six 3-pointers and 21 points, while Allen Crabbe posted five 3-pointers and added 20 points.

“When we’re hot, I feel like we can run with anybody in the gym,” Acy told the New York Post. “And tonight, we got hot.”

It's the fourth road win out of the past five games for the Nets and the team's second consecutive victory over the Bulls, something that hasn't been accomplished since February 2008.

The Nets also had a season-high 36 assists, with Spencer Dinwiddie (nine) and Caris LeVert (eight) contributing from off the bench.

“It’s pretty tough, man,” Bulls forward Bobby Portis said of defending the Nets. “It’s like playing the Rockets. They shoot a lot of 3s. They shoot a lot of contested shots. That’s what their coach preaches.”
