The Knicks may be interested in trading for John Wall.

Some in the league believe New York is stockpiling its “young assets” in order to “make a major play” for the 28-year-old Wizards guard if he becomes available, according to a report from the New York Post.

The Knicks could include guards Frank Ntilikina and Damyean Dotson as well as future picks in the deal, the report says.

Wall has averaged 21.3 points and 8.4 assists in 34.6 minutes per game this season. He has shot 44.3 percent from the field and 32.2 percent from 3-point range.

The five-time All-Star signed a massive four-year, $170 million extension with the Wizards in July 2017.

The Wizards started the season with a disastrous 6-12 record but have since won four of their last six games. At one point, they were reportedly open to moving any player on their team, including Wall and star guard Bradley Beal.

Washington topped the Knicks on Monday in New York.
