The Cavaliers have traded Isaiah Thomas.

According to ESPN, Cleveland has traded Isaiah Thomas, Channing Frye and the Cavaliers' first-round pick in 2018 to the Lakers for Jordan Clarkson, Larry Nance.

The Cavaliers get rid of Thomas, as many people hoped they would, while the Lakers get players with expiring contracts and another first-round pick to add to their future.

Cleveland has been looking for players who can help this season and beyond and Nance and Clarkson fit that mold. Clarkson is signed up to a four-year, $50 million contract and will not be a free agent until after 2020.

Nance is also signed up through 2020, but it is to a much more team-friendly deal. He makes $1.47 million this season, $2.27 million in 2018-19 and $3.36 million in '19-'20.

Thomas appeared in only 15 games for the Cavs after coming over from Boston in August in the Kyrie Irving deal.
