Wilson Chandler will be returning to the Nuggets.

The 31-year-old forward opted into the final year of his contract with Denver Friday, according to a report from ESPN. He will be paid $12.8 million in 2018-19.

Chandler averaged 10 points and 5.4 rebounds per game for the Nuggets last season. He also knocked down 35.8 percent of his 3-pointers and tallied a career-high 2.2 assists per contest.

Chandler was originally selected by the Knicks with the 23rd pick of the 2007 NBA Draft. He spent just under four seasons in New York before he was sent to Denver in the Carmelo Anthony trade.

The Nuggets finished 2017-18 with a 46-36 record and missed the playoffs for the fifth straight season. They selected former Missouri forward Michael Porter Jr. with the 14th pick of the 2018 NBA Draft.
