Tyreke Evans is headed to Indiana.

The free-agent guard is nearing a one-year contract with the Pacers, ESPN reported, citing unidentified league sources. According to Yahoo Sports, the deal is worth $12 million.

Evans, who last played with the Grizzlies, had initially been targeted by the Warriors before Golden State signed All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins to a one-year deal worth $5.3 million on Monday. It had also been rumored that Evans drew interest from the Lakers and Thunder.

Evans, 28, was selected by the Kings with the No. 4 overall pick of the 2009 NBA Draft and had a four-year stint with the Pelicans before landing in Memphis. The 2010 Rookie of the Year is coming off a productive season in which he averaged 19.4 points, 5.2 assists and 5.1 rebounds per game.
